The St. Benedict Joseph Medical Center, located in Comayagua, Honduras, is run by a group of Franciscan friars and is staffed by medical mission groups from North America. Just $100 helps fund a child's surgery, from a cleft lip repair to orthopedic surgery to fixing a hernia. The money helps run the hospital and cover the cost of medication and supplies for the surgery. Through October 2009, Childspring was able to partner with St. Benedict Joseph to help 19 children. We hope to be able to fund even more in 2010.
